Registration is officially open for this year's Surfrider Foundation Pacific Northwest Conference to be held September 20-22 in Westport, WA. This year's theme: Ocean Ecosystems: A Surfer's Sense of Place and Protection in the Pacific Northwest will be kicked off by keynote speaker Washington State Senator Kevin Ranker.
Senator Ranker resides within the 40th Legislative District in the state of Washington and holds an extensive background within the Surfrider family, helping to establish the very first chapters in the Pacific Northwest. Kevin has worked tirelessly to establish many long term conservation initiatives for ocean issues in Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. We are very excited to have Kevin this year to present!
A reminder that this is an excellent opportunity for you to help build new leadership within your chapters and mingle and share ideas with other chapter members throughout the Pacific Northwest. Please try and make this part of your agenda at this month's chapter meetings and/or executive meetings if possible. We hope to see you there!
