2017 was a productive year for Oregon Chapters. Our chapters hosted more than 24 public events ranging from cleanups to educational presentations. They also helped hundreds of Oregonians create a stronger connection with special places in our state through youth surf camps and citizen science opportunities.
Take a look below for a few highlights from 2017!
Check out these highlights from each of our Chapters:
- Coos Bay – The Bandon Youth Club created an Ocean Friendly Garden

- Newport – Share What You Love – Youth Score Surf and Stewardship at 9th Annual Otter Rock and Roll Competition
- Portland – The Portland Chapter launched a Ditch the Straw program that has already prevented approximately 6,000 straws from being used
