More than 100 Oregonians from across the state joined us for the Beautiful Creatures of Oregon’s Marine Reserves series in July and August. We learned about each of Oregon’s five marine reserves and got in touch with our creative side to make art depicting the creatures that live in them. Participants mailed their art to Elisabeth Jones Art Center to become part of a giant collaborative mobile that was unveiled on October 1st. Check out this gorgeous art titled, "A Delicate Balance - Celebrating 5 Oregon Marine Reserves."
October 1st was also the opening of the For the Seventh Generation Exhibit at Elisabeth Jones Art Center. The exhibit, running from Oct 1st to Dec 20th, showcases the latest paintings for a panomural representing every mile of the California, Oregon, and Washington coastlines. Sales from the exhibit support Surfrider Foundation, Elisabeth Jones Art Center, and the artist.
