Surfrider Newport’s annual kids surf contest and beach celebration is coming up on Saturday, June 24th! The event, hosted by the Newport Chapter, starts at 8am in Otter Rock at the Devil's Punchbowl State Natural Area.
The contest is open to all kids 18 and under. There is a beach cleanup challenge, age group competition, a parent with child class, and for new surfers a Best Beginner class. In Best Beginner, novice surfers will be provided a wetsuit and board if they don’t have one and an individual coach.
