Every year between November and January, our Chapters conduct Annual Planning. Volunteers dedicate a weekend to evaluating the past year and thinking strategically about what they want the coming year to look like. We set goals, discuss local items of concern, start planning for major events, and set fundraising goals.
For the past few years, fighting plastic pollution has been a major focus area of all of our Oregon Chapters. Clean water (supporting our seven water quality labs) is the other major focus area across all chapters. Our Chapters also typically focus on a local issue like fighting LNG in Coos Bay or passing a comprehensive single-use plastic policy in Portland.
As we launch into planning season, we'd love to hear from you, the broader Surfrider Oregon community, on what you want 2020 to look like! Please take this brief survey (click below) to give us feedback.
