Redfish Rocks in Port Orford holds a very special place in my heart – it's where I fell in love with Oregon and launched my career. In 2009, I was charged with creating the Redfish Rocks Community Team to partner with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife on implementing the Redfish Rocks Marine Reserve and Marine Protected Area. The Community Team, now in its 10th year of operation, is still going strong – educating community members and visitors about Redfish Rocks, supporting research, and building partnerships. It has been a wonderful experience watching the Team evolve over the years.
