"Ensuring Oregon's Outdoor Legacy" OPRD releases draft Oregon Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP)
By gusgatesOregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) recently released the Oregon Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor RecreationPlan (SCORP) for public review. This report is a wealth of information that provides an overview of the different roles of recreation providers and land managers in Oregon, results from their OR recreational survey, trends in recreation, a needs assessment, parkland classification of service standards and an effort to develop sustainable park systems in Oregon.
The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) will accept comments until May 31, 2013.

The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) will take comments on the draft 2013-2017 Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) at a public meeting to be held Thursday, May 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Tryon Creek State Natural Area Visitor Center (located at 11321 SW Terwilliger Blvd. in Portland).
