A rare 7'2" "Ala Moana" Model Lightning Bolt Surfboard shaped and signed by Gerry Lopez is being auctioned off to support Surfrider Oregon! Bidding opens Wednesday, August 24th and closes on Wednesday, August 31st at 3:00 pm.

This collectors board was donated by Pam Tunno Decker in memory of her brother, Mark Tunno. The following board description has been provided by Pam.

Mark purchased the board in the winter of 1972-73 on his first trip to the [Hawaiian] Islands. The addition of the leash loop was most likely done by Dave Kopra and Mark when the board was purchased as the board was pre-leash when made. The Board is un-numbered but signed by Lopez and has the early wide "Lightning Bolt" which was changed to the more slender and styled bolt. This is a very early "Lightning Bolt."

Mark rode the board at "Pipe" at least once and the board has been used at the Seaside "Point" and I recall one photo of Mark riding the board there in a snow storm!

This very early "Bolt" has been authenticated by Randy Rarick, Hawaii Surfing Promotions, and Gerry Lopez himself.

The surfboard can be picked up in Lincoln County, Oregon. Shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer.

Included is a handwritten and signed postcard from Gerry Lopez about this specific board.
