During these unprecedented times, healthcare workers and government officials have asked (or ordered) us to stay home and stay safe. Unfortunately, this may mean not visiting your favorite beach. That’s where NANOOS comes in! The Northwest Association of Networked Ocean Observing Systems (NANOOS) is a partnership of over 40 entities, including industry, state agencies, local governments, tribes, non government organizations, and educational institutions. NANOOS provides observational and model data plus forecasts, decision-making tools, and new applications to make the business of managing our coastal oceans and estuaries easier than it has been in the past.

NANOOS offers different “products” based on user or interest groups.

For webcams and surf forecasts, select the “Surfers” product.

The eyeball icons are webcams (some are live feed and some are static photos).

The other icons offer different oceanographic data such as wind speed, wave height, period, etc.
